Firm History and Client Types
Our firm began in February, 2019, when Tami Miller, EA established a practice in Vancouver, WA after the CPA firm she worked at for 25 years closed. At that point she brought in her husband, Mark Miller, who is an independent insurance broker/producer as a joint business with him.
The accounting and tax practice focuses on small and mid-sized private sector businesses, non-profit entities and individuals. The financial services practice focuses on retirement planning, potential tax-free retirement income supplementation, business succession as well as disability, (think paycheck insurance) and life insurance needs.
Our firm is growing and evolving as we provide services to our clients and we are taking care of their needs. We are excited to add staff as the demand arises. We currently have an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), two licensed tax preparers, a licensed insurance producer and part-time staff. We service clients throughout SW Washington and the Portland Metropolitan area. We have the ability to service clients in other areas and states as well.

Tami (Tamara) Miller, BS, EA, – Managing Partner
Tami graduated from Pacific Union College in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree in both Fashion Merchandising and Business Administration. After a brief stay in fashion, she landed permanently in accounting and has been practicing for more than 25 years.
Tami specializes in providing general accounting and bookkeeping services to businesses and individuals. She is enrolled to practice with the Internal Revenue Service, and she has a great deal of experience in tax compliance, tax audit, and dispute resolution with the IRS and other taxing jurisdictions.
Tami has worked with many types of businesses, including building and construction companies, millwright and lumber services companies, retail companies, manufacturers, professional and other service businesses including doctors, dentists, engineers, and attorneys. In addition to her work with businesses, Tami has extensive experience with non-profit (fund) accounting, auditing, and tax compliance.
When she isn’t busy punching numbers, she goes home to her family of two daughters and her husband where she finds solace in sewing, knitting, and quilting.

Mark Miller – Licensed Insurance Producer (Life/Disability/Medicare), Managing
Mark entered the insurance and financial industry with Integrity Financial Concepts in early 2009 and was given the opportunity to take the helm in 2019 combining it with Legacy Accounting where he jokes about being the fine print on the company logo. Mark’s primary focus at Legacy, (aside from making sure everyone has the needed tools to be effective) is utilizing insurance products to reach certain financial objectives, including tax and retirement income diversification strategies, Long Term Care planning, Medicare plans most appropriate for an individual’s needs, and making sure people have the correct amount and kind(s) of life insurance.
Mark is very entrepreneurial minded and loves finding solutions to issues people face. Although a debilitating automobile accident weeks prior to college graduation left his plans for Naval Aviation
unfulfilled, Mark brings his whatever-it-takes attitude and work ethic to business development and client services.
Outside of the office, Mark enjoys the outdoors, music, airplanes, (he is a former flight instructor with Evergreen Flying Service in Vancouver, WA) sending high-speed projectiles downrange, and
loves helping people accomplish cool things in life.
Elizabeth – Office Manager
Elizabeth is our office manager, and scheduler, with a focus on client relations, office procedures, and efficient scheduling for everyone at the office.
She also does bookkeeping and payroll. She has a legal background, and has acquired skills in
organization, attention to detail, candor and a presence to get things done. She has been a friend of the Miller’s for over 20 years, and was our first choice when we began to grow our company.
Though she is only part time, chances are if you’re on the phone with someone in our office, it’s her. Elizabeth is married to her high school sweetheart, is a mother of five, and grandma to one. She enjoys reading, quilting, baking, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Brenda – Bookkeeper and Licensed Tax Preparer
Brenda has over eighteen years of bookkeeping and tax preparation experience. She
has been with Legacy Accounting since 2019 and is very dedicated to her work. Her
primary focus at Legacy is individual tax preparation, complex bookkeeping and payroll.
Her easy going and friendly demeanor is a great asset to our office and we love having her here. Brenda loves crafting, all things Sasquatch, and is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. She also relishes spending time with her family, and especially her grandson whom she adores.
Tabetha – Bookkeeper and Licensed Tax Preparer
Tabetha worked in billing and bookkeeping for 10 years before returning to school to obtain her Certificate of Accounting. She is now a licensed tax preparer, having completed the IRS education requirements for tax preparation, ethics and tax law. At Legacy, in addition to payroll and accounting work, she is specializing in corporate and business tax returns, and is working on completing her Enrolled Agent certification. Having experience working for non-profits, large corporations and small businesses, Tabby has developed and implemented billing and AR programs, standard operating procedures and budget management strategies, making her a valuable asset to our team.
Tabby is a huge animal lover, and enjoys reading, camping and live music. She also loves spending time with her husband, son, cat, 2 dogs and 5 chickens.
Bob, MT (Accounting) BS, Seasonal Tax Accountant
Bob has had a long career as an executive in business. For three years, he was a trainer of tax preparers in Portland for a national tax preparation company. He trained people to pass the Oregon LTC examination and work with individual income tax preparation software. In addition he has personally prepared hundreds of individual income tax returns.
His wealth of business and tax preparation experience and his academic training have allowed him to prepare our client’s tax returns with precision and accuracy.
